Official: Japan To Get The World’s First Windows Phone 7 Mango Handset In September

We have got a news that first windows phone mango handset will be released in Japan in September.   Fujitsu and KDDI (Japan's second largest wireless operator) have just confirmed that they will launch the world's first phone running Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango). These words come from the Tokyo press meet up. We don't know the exact details of the handsets but here are the rumored specifications

  • 3.7″ LCD Display
  • 1 Ghz Qualcomm MSM8655 CPU
  • Water-proof
  • Will come in multiple colors. Bright yellow and pink versions of the handset have already been caught in leaks.
  • 32GB of internal memory

According to Windows Team Blog The Windows Phone Mango Has been released to manufacturing yesterday. The Mango is the latest built and bringing the 500 new features into windows phone mango.
Some of the new enhancements are
  • Our unique new email Conversation View which helps me to efficiently participate in long email discussions with my friends and co-workers.
  • Threads that bring together my text, IM, and Facebook chat all into one conversation.
  • App Multitasking, enabling me to efficiently work on my email, listen to music, and then pop in and out of Words By Post games when it is my turn. Mango also connects apps to search results and deepens integration within the Hubs like Music and Video and Pictures.
  • Internet Explorer 9 for fast web browsing and support for new HTML 5 web sites. 
   After Mango – the major 2011 release, Tango and Apollo are expected in 2012. Some manufacturer are bringing the mango handset as soon as in august so hope for the best.

Android Gingerbread 2.3.3 update for Samsung Galaxy Gio is out

Good news for Samsung S5660 Galaxy Gio owners. The long awaited official Gingerbread 2.3.3 upgrade from Samsung via KIES is out already. However, it is only for NEE product code (Nordic Countries) at the moment. It is NOT available yet for other region but the other regions will follow soon. Google activates 550000 Android Devices every day, Android Market reaches 250000 apps

That was a good day for Google as excited the shareholders with its huge profits, boasting just over $9 billion in revenue this past quarter. They also revealed that their new social network Google + has reached above 10 million users in just two weeks. 

During the earning call Google CEO revealed that they are now activating above 550000 droids every day. Back at Google I/O these numbers were just 40000. Actually its a huge success and climb for android platform.

Mozilla lanuches next version of popular browser Firefox beta 6

Recently Mozilla is in lot of hurry to launch the new version of Firefox. In this attempts they have released a new beta version for all Desktop, Mac, Linux and also for Android.

The following are the list of changes in the desktop version of Firefox 6:
  • Add-ons Manager with Plugin Check: Check that your plugins are up-to-date directly from the Add-ons Manager
  • Improved Panorama Groups: Reduces browser startup time by only loading saved tab groups when you use Panorama
  • Improved Address Bar: Highlights the domain name of the website you’re visiting to make it easy to identify where you are online

Android 3.2 may be available for the Motorola Xoom in coming days

For Android there are two versions of the operating system. Android 2.3 Gingerbread is the latest version is for phones, and Android 3.1 Honeycomb is the latest version for tablets. However, it looks like the new  Android 3.2, a new minor update to Honeycomb, is ready for the Motorola Xoom in the coming days.

The comment was made by the Google Employee in the discussion thread for one Android issue at Google’s official bug tracker. The Googler’s comment in its entirety was:

“There should be a 3.2 update coming within days, and that should help those of you with the Xoom.”

Symbian Anna has been leaked somewhere in the world. A Bulgarian forum (Symbian Modders) is showing Nokia N8 with Symbian Anna on it, software is from July 5.


If you can not wait till August, you can give it a try but remember it is still beta software. It can void your warrenty too so try it your own risk.

Nokia Maps v3.08 is here with big changes in Drive. You can avoid gridlock and other road blocks with our live traffic routing feature. We've also changed the whole look & feel - cleaned up the layout and increased the size of the buttons for easier use. You can now change your settings in Drive and set a contact as a destination.

What's different from v3.07?

Drive Enhancements:
  • Live traffic routing takes traffic information into account to avoid traffic jams automatically (available in Germany, France, US, UK and Russia).
  • Turn on "Avoid traffic" in your "Route settings" to take traffic conditions into account while you drive. Always get the best route for right now.

Android distribution in June: Gingerbread doubles

Google has shared a new stats for it's linux based mobile operating system Android. According to recent report The Gingerbread version of android doubles the market share but the leader is the Android 2.2 version whose market share is above 50%.
